An American Internet services company says it will be creating 330 jobs in New Glasgow, N.S., over the next three years.
Web.com, an online marketing website for small businesses, says it will open a new operations centre in the town.
Communications co-ordinator Sarah Prince says the company is targeting 100 new jobs in the centre by the end of the year, with the goal of growing to 330 employees over the next three.
“We are thrilled to have New Glasgow become part of Web.com Canada and to have the talented people in our region join the team of this progressive leader,” said New Glasgow Mayor Barry MacMillion.
Employees will help serve Web.com customers. Twelve different roles will need to be filled, including management.
The company based out of Jacksonville, Fla., currently employs over 400 full-time positions in their Yarmouth and Halifax facilities.
There will be a three-day job fair at NSCC Pictou campus at a later date.
