Enfield RCMP say a man has died from his injuries after he was found bleeding on a Nova Scotia highway Saturday afternoon.

Police responded to Highway 215 in South Maitland around 3:15 p.m. They found a man lying on the road, unconscious and bleeding from the head.

The 48-year-old South Maitland man was airlifted to a Halifax hospital in critical condition.

Police confirm the man passed away at the Halifax Infirmary Monday evening. He has been identified as Arnold Frederick Hubley.

Police believe Hubley had been a passenger in a vehicle before he was found on the road.

The vehicle was later recovered by police and investigators are treating his death as suspicious, although no arrests have been made.

Anyone with information about Hubley’s death is asked to contact police.
