A 24-year-old man is fighting for his life after a backyard brawl in the north end of Dartmouth last night.
Police were back on the scene in the area of Primrose Street and Pinecrest Drive Tuesday morning.
They were first called to the neighbourhood around 5:30 p.m. Monday.
Investigators say a fight between several men started in the backyard of a home in the area and a 24-year-old man was shot several times in the chest.
The victim ran from the scene and made it to a home on nearby Jackson Road, where he was found by police.
He was taken to the Queen Elizabeth II Health Sciences Centre with life-threatening injuries.
Police are looking for a suspect described as a black man in his mid-twenties. He is roughly five-foot-eight and wore a navy blue hoodie and black pants at the time of the shooting.
