More than 11K cast ballots in advanced polls in P.E.I. ahead of Monday election

CHARLOTTETOWN -- Elections P.E.I. says more than 11,800 Islanders voted in the first advanced polls held on Saturday ahead of next week's election.

Advanced polls were also open Monday from 9 a.m. until 7 p.m. and will be open during the same time Friday.

Elections P.E.I. says 21,017 people voted during the three days of advanced polling during the 2011 provincial election.

The election is set for Monday.
