EGLINGTON, P.E.I. - The source of a fire that damaged a small, wooden bridge in eastern P.E.I. is considered suspicious.
Kings District RCMP say they received a call for help just after 10 a.m. from Grove Pine Road in Eglington.
When officers arrived, the bridge was still burning.
The three-metre wide bridge is part of an unpaved rural road that is not maintained in the winter.
The Department of Highways and the fire marshal have been called in to assess the condition of the bridge, which has been closed to traffic.
