A man charged with trafficking after his pot shop was raided marched in protest with some of his supporters Friday tonight.

Christophe Enns along with about 50 people took to the streets of Halifax to protest their right to medical marijuana.

Enns says his life was turned upside-down when his pot shop, residence, and the place he call his “production site” were all raided two weeks ago.

Enns and two others are facing charges of trafficking and production as a result of the raids.

“My plants were cut down,” he says. “All of my stored medicine was taken away from home. My personal residence was raided. All of the money that was available in my life was taken away from me and we’re left struggling…asking why as people who are authorized to use this as a medicine we’re being treated like criminals.”

Enns will appear in court to face the drug charges on September 29.
