It’s been eight weeks since Catie Miller’s family last heard from her and today they held another poster blitz hoping it will help them find the missing 29-year-old mother.

Volunteers helped Catie’s parents put up posters in parts of the region that were not covered by their first poster campaign last month.

Catie’s father, John Miller, says about a thousand posters went up today which will add to the thousands that have gone up across the country.

The last new piece of information in the case was a phone that was turned in about a month ago. Police say it was linked to Catie, but they still haven’t said how.

“So police aren’t telling us anything,” says John. “They say that’s best investigative practice.”

Catie’s three-year-old son isn’t aware his mother is missing. Catie’s mom, Terry Miller, says they’re trying to do what’s best for him.

“We’ve been told to say that she’s away,” she says. “Hopefully she is away and will be back.”

Catie’s parents have been overwhelmed by the support of the community. People like Lynn Bowditch, a family friend, say they were more than happy to help.

“You realize that it’s probably a parent’s worst nightmare,” says says. “If I was going through something like this, I would hope that someone would give their time and energy to help me.”

While the Millers still hold out hope that Catie will be found, they say it’s not easy.

“To be honest, it’s becoming increasingly difficult to be optimistic,” says John.

They continue to ask anyone with information to contact police.
