Two youths charged with multiple weapons-related offences following an incident at Millwood High in Middle Sackville, N.S. will remain behind bars.

The 15 and 17-year-olds were charged after a bag of weapons and ammunition was found near Millwood High School on Tuesday.

The teens were supposed to appear in court to have a bail-hearing on Friday. Instead, they agreed to be remanded for 30-days for psychiatric and psychological assessments.

Police said they received a tip from a member of the public Tuesday that there were people with firearms on a city bus in Middle Sackville

The high school was locked down and police later found a duffel bag containing a shotgun, a rifle, a pellet rifle, a pellet pistol and some ammunition.

The youths face charges including two counts of weapons trafficking, theft, possession of stolen property, four counts of carrying a concealed weapon and four counts of possession for a purpose dangerous to the public peace, among others.

A third person, 18-year-old Jonathan Murray, is charged with uttering threats in the same incident.
