Police are trying to determine if a woman spotted downtown Halifax on Wednesday is wanted on a Canada-wide parole warrant.

Officers responded to a business in the 5200 block of Duke Street after they received a call that 53-year-old Susan Anne Fife was spotted at the location.

There is a warrant out for Fife's arrest after she allegedly breached her conditions, in connection with a second-degree murder conviction. Police say she was sentenced to life imprisonment, but she recently breached the conditions of her parole and is unlawfully at large.

Police say they spoke with several witnesses, and they believe the woman may have been Fife.

She is described as a white female with brown hair and blue eyes. She stands at roughly five-feet-six inches and weighs 130 pounds.

Police say that Fife is considered to be violent and should not be approached. They are asking members of the public to call police if they think they have seen Fife.
