FREDERICTON -- Academic staff at the University of New Brunswick have set a strike deadline.

The bargaining committee of the Association of University of New Brunswick Teachers has voted unanimously on a strike deadline of 12:01 a.m. Monday.

The union represents about 800 full-time and contract academic staff, librarians and researchers.

They work in Fredericton, Saint John, Moncton and Bathurst.

Wages and workload are the main issues for the association.

Their contract expired June 30.
