A Bedford, N.S., family has put Christmas celebrations on hold while they look for 48-year-old Jonathan Chigier, who disappeared nearly a week ago.
Chigier was last seen leaving his home in Bedford in his vehicle on Dec. 18. He was reported missing the next day.
“It’s completely out of character for him to simply disappear. He’s very much a devoted family man with three young children,” said family friend Bruce Fisher.
Police say they do not suspect foul play, but Chigier’s family and friends are concerned.
“His kids miss him a lot as does his wife and his friends,” Fisher said. “So anyone who knows him is shocked.”
Chigier was last seen driving a grey 2011 Honda CRV with Nova Scotia license plates FRD 951.
Anyone with information on his whereabouts is asked to contact police.
