HALIFAX -- A family of five has been displaced following a house fire on Boxing Day in Torbay, N.L.
On Saturday, shortly after 9 p.m., a fire was reported at a home on Reddy Drive.
According to the Canadian Red Cross, the fire was quickly contained, but the home’s electricity needed to be disconnected.
Canadian Red Cross volunteers are assisting the family – a couple and three children – with emergency lodging and meals.
No injuries were reported.
