HALIFAX -- Police in Halifax say a 17-year-old boy is dead after his motorcycle left the road and ended up in a wooded area.
The accident occurred around 8:00 p.m. Wednesday on Highway 102 just past the Kearney Lake Road on ramp.
Police say the driver was thrown from the motorbike.
The victim, who was from the Bedford area, was taken to hospital where he later died of his injuries.
His name has not been released.
Meanwhile, police say two vehicles were extensively damaged in a second crash at the accident scene when one apparently slowed to look and was rear ended by the other.
Police say the occupants of the vehicles were treated at the scene and released.
