Crash causes power outage, closes section of Windmill Road in Dartmouth

A single-vehicle crash closed a section of a busy road in Dartmouth, N.S., Tuesday morning.

Halifax Regional Police said Windmill Road was closed in both directions between Akerley Boulevard and Ralston Avenue due to the crash, which happened around 2 a.m.

The driver was taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Power was also out in the area but it has since been restored. 

Police say the investigation is ongoing.
