A former medical student accused of killing a fellow Dalhousie University student has been committed to stand trial for first-degree murder.
William Sandeson was charged in August 2015, five days after Taylor Samson went missing.
A judge determined late Tuesday afternoon there is enough evidence for the case to go to trial.
Taylor Samson's mother tells CTV News she is happy the case is proceeding, but maintains her priority is finding her son.
The 22-year-old's body has never been found.
The case returns to Nova Scotia Supreme Court next week.
