GRAND MANAN, N.B. -- A girl was killed Sunday when a minivan carrying four other teens crashed on New Brunswick's Grand Manan Island.
The RCMP say the single-vehicle crash happened around 9:30 p.m. on Whistle Road.
A 17-year-old girl who was a passenger in the van died at the scene.
Police say two other girls and two boys between the ages of 14 and 17 were taken to hospital with undetermined injuries.
Sgt. Ross Davis says one girl was later airlifted to hospital in Saint John, N.B., while the other teens were released.
The teens are from Grand Manan.
Davis says a collision reconstructionist is working to determine the cause of the crash.
