HALIFAX -- A Halifax taxi driver is facing sexual assault charges after allegedly making an unwanted sexual advance on a young woman early Saturday morning.
Halifax Regional Police responded to a report around 2:50 a.m. from a 20-year-old woman who said she was been touched in a sexual manner and kissed by a cab driver without her consent.
Police say the woman was not physically injured.
Police located the victim and the suspect on the 1800 block of Barrington street and say the 44-year-old cab driver was taken into custody without incident.
The cab driver will be in court on September 8 facing a sexual assault charge.
