Meteorologist Kalin Mitchell joins CTV Atlantic news team

CTV Atlantic is welcoming a new weather anchor to its news team.

Kalin Mitchell has been named chief meteorologist for CTV News at 5, CTV News at 6 and CTV News at 11:30.

Mitchell is coming to CTV Atlantic from the CBC. He has also worked for Environment Canada.

Mitchell studied atmospheric science at the University of British Columbia. He is also a graduate of the Meteorological Occupational Program, conducted by the Meteorological Services of Canada and Environment Canada.

Mitchell is endorsed by the Canadian Meteorological and Oceanographic Society as a broadcast meteorologist.
