A man is facing drunk driving charges in connection with a fatal car crash in Nova Scotia’s Annapolis County last fall.

RCMP responded to the two-vehicle crash on Shore Road West in Youngs Cove on Oct. 27.

Police say a Chevrolet Silverado truck and a Volkswagen car were involved in the incident.

The two occupants of the car, 72-year-old Morris Longmire and 72-year-old Paul Longmire, both of Parkers Cove, died in the crash.

The driver of the truck, 48-year-old Keith Bent of Youngs Cove, has been charged with two counts of impaired driving causing death, two counts of criminal negligence causing death, as well as impaired driving charges in connection with the incident.

Bent is due in Annapolis Royal provincial court on March 5.
