RCMP have identified the victim of a two-vehicle crash on Nova Scotia’s Highway 103.

Police say Abraham Assaff was killed when his Honda Civic collided with a tractor-trailer early Sunday.

The 34-year-old Western Shore man was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the tractor-trailer was treated at the scene by paramedics.

An RCMP officer was on his way to work when he came upon the accident in Martins River, between Chester and Mahone Bay, at approximately 7:45 a.m.

Police say it appears the car crossed the centre line and drove into the path of the tractor-trailer.

The highway was closed for most of the day. It has since reopened.

Police are still investigating.
