HALIFAX -- Soccer Nova Scotia says players have been told to isolate and are being tested for COVID-19, after being advised a player tested positive after playing in a game on Nov. 1.
On Saturday, Nova Scotia Health issued a potential COVID-19 exposure advisory for the BMO Soccer Centre, located on Thomas Raddall Drive, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 1.
On Sunday, Soccer Nova Scotia tweeted that a player who had played in a game at that time ‘developed symptoms throughout the week and subsequently tested positive for COVID-19’.
All players from that game are in isolation and have arranged testing with N.S. Health.
Anyone else who was in the facility during that time is being asked to monitor for symptoms, which could develop up to and including November 16.
BMO Soccer Centre says they will remain open for business and continue following strict COVID-19 protocol, including contact tracing, no spectators, and separate entrances and exits.
