Cape Breton Regional Police say no human remains have been found after searching the rubble of a building destroyed by fire in Glace Bay, N.S.
Police and fire crews responded to Billy D’s on Main Street around 11 p.m. Friday.
Investigators received information that a homeless person may have been inside the former bar at the time, but police say they have completed their search of the site, and no remains have been found.
Several streets were blocked off Friday evening and early Saturday morning and Nova Scotia Power cut power, which affected some customers in the area.
A nearby Irving gas station turned off its pumps and the business was shut down for safety reasons at the time of the fire.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
