The RCMP are renewing calls for clues in the death of a Halifax woman.
Police say the body of Tanya Jean Brooks -- also known as Tanya Lynch -- was found in a basement window well of St. Pat’s Alexandra Elementary School on May 11, 2009.
Investigators determined Brooks had been the victim of a homicide.
They were able to trace her movements until 8:20 p.m. the day before her body was found, when she left Halifax Regional Police headquarters on Gottingen Street.
Police say she was known to frequent the Gottingen Street area and they believe she knew her assailant.
Investigators believe there are people who have information about the homicide who have yet to come forward.
They are urging anyone with information to contact police.
Brooks’ case is part of the Rewards for Major Unsolved Crimes program, which offers up to $150,000 for information that leads to an arrest and conviction in certain cases.
