A Nova Scotia Mountie escaped with minor injuries after his RCMP vehicle was struck by a car near Lawrencetown, N.S., Sunday morning.
Police say the officer was performing traffic duties on Highway 101 near Exit 19 when his vehicle was hit on driver’s side.
They say the crash happened around 9:40 a.m.
The two people in the civilian car and the RCMP officer were treated for minor injuries.
The section of highway between exits 19 and 20 is temporarily shut down as police investigate.
Traffic is being diverted along Highway 1.
