All public schools on P.E.I. are closed
- Mount Saint Vincent University will open at noon
- Acadia University will open at noon
- Dalhousie University (Halifax and Truro campuses) will open at noon
- University of King's College will open at noon
- Saint Mary's University will open at noon
- NSCAD will open at noon
- Saint Francis Xavier will open at noon
- University of New Brunswick (Saint John campus) will open at noon
- Mount Allison University will open at noon
- All NSCC campuses are closed today, except for Burridge, Lunenburg and Shelburne campuses, which will open at 10 a.m.
- NBCC Saint John classes are cancelled. Offices will open at noon.
- NBCC St. Andrews - classes delayed until 10:30 a.m.
- NBCC Moncton campus will open at noon

- All municipal offices and contact centres in the Halifax region will open at 10 a.m.
- Provincial government offices in Cumberland, Colchester, Pictou, Antigonish, Hants, Kings, Annapolis and Digby counties will open at noon

- Englishtown ferry service have been suspended due to ice.
- The overnight winter parking ban remains in effect in Halifax. Cars need to be off the roads between 1 a.m. and 6 a.m. to allow for snow removal.
