A 16-year old boy has been hospitalized with non life-threatening injuries after an alleged assault.

Authorities cannot say what the assault consist of, but the incident started on Monday.

RCMP Cpl. Scott MacRae said "he was taken from the Porters Lake area and taken to a residence of East Chezzetcook where he was detained for almost two days and allegedly assaulted."

Authorities believe the incident is not random and will look at whether drug activity played a role in the abuse.

Neighbours had not noticed anything out of the ordinary except for the constant blaring of heavy metal music through the entire day.
