Unionized workers at Mount Allison University ratify new contract

SACKVILLE, N.B. - Secretarial, clerical and technical workers at Mount Allison University have ratified a new contact with their employer in Sackville, N.B.

The workers are represented by Local 3433 of the Canadian Union of Public Employees.

There are about 125 employees in the union local.

The four-year deal covers the period from July 1, 2013 to June 30, 2017.

The university says the tentative agreement was reached on Dec. 2 and ratified by both parties on Dec. 9.
