Beachgoers made a gruesome discovery on a Maritime beach Thursday. A mangled whale was found washed up on the shore in Clam Bay, Nova Scotia.
The animal has a large length of rope wrapped around its tail. Those who discovered the carcass suspect the rope may have something to do with how the whale died.
The type of whale has not been identified.
The Department of Natural Resources has been informed of the finding.
