What's For Dinner - Cheesy Taco Burger Tortilla

Serves 4

Taco Ingredients:

  • 1 lb. lean ground beef, divided in to 4 loose balls
  • 4 flour tortillas (6-inch)
  • 1 cup marble cheddar, shredded (we used Dairy Isle marble cheddar shredded)
  • 1 cup iceberg lettuce, shredded
  • ¼ cup tomatoes, diced
  • ¼ cup red onion, diced
  • 1 Jalapeno pepper, diced

Taco Sauce Ingredients:

  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 tbsp ketchup
  • 1 tsp mustard
  • 1 tbsp relish
  • 1/2 tsp hot sauce
  • 1 tsp sea salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper

Directions:

  1. In a small bowl, combine mayo, ketchup, mustard, relish, and hot sauce.
  2. Mix well and set aside.
  3. Cook in a large frying pan on medium-high heat.
  4. Place ground beef in the hot pan.
  5. Season with salt and pepper and cook for 3 minutes.
  6. Place a tortilla on top of each beef portion and press down to flatten the beef into the shape and size of the tortilla.
  7. Cook until the tortilla is golden-brown, 3 to 4 more minutes.
  8. Flip each patty over and top with marble cheddar cheese.
  9. When the cheese has melted and the tortilla has lightly browned, top with lettuce, diced tomatoes, Jalapeno pepper and red onions.
  10. Drizzle with sauce, remove from the griddle and fold in half like a taco.
