A second winter storm has hit the Maritimes in less than a week.
The snow, rain and freezing rain caused slippery conditions, closures and cancellations across the region.
Even with no flights going in and out, the runways were still being cleared at the Saint John airport.
The storm hit New Brunswick the hardest, the amount of stores closed and baron streets made it evident
Police were advising motorists to stay off the roads unless it’s an emergency.
"The roads are very slippery, lot of whiteout conditions, side roads some are not even plowed but the main roads are plowed, but they are still slippery conditions,” says Saint John Police Sgt. Brian Donovan. "(There’s been) minor accidents. A few people stuck in the snow bank here and there but we've been able to get them pushed out and on their way and for the most part people are staying home."
The western half of Nova Scotia was buried in snow as well, but for the central and eastern portion of the province, rain made for slushy, wet and icy roads.
The main priority for cities and communities across the Maritimes is what to do with all the snow.
