Police say charges are pending after an inmate was assaulted at the Central Nova Scotia Correctional Facility in Dartmouth.
Police say two male inmates were involved in the incident, which happened before 10 p.m. Monday.
A 22-year-old Lunenburg County man was taken hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The incident remains under investigation and police say charges are anticipated.
