Charges are pending after a 35-year-old woman was struck by a vehicle while crossing the street in Halifax.

Halifax Regional Police responded to the intersection of Sackville and Brunswick streets around 12:17 p.m. Sunday.

The pedestrian was taken to the Queen Elizabeth II Health Sciences Centre with non-life-threatening injuries.

Police say the incident remains under investigation but charges are pending against the 62-year-old woman who was driving the car.
