I had the pleasure of welcoming Mo Kenney to Section Six tonight.
The 23-year-old just won a prestigious national award.
She beat out musicians from across the country to earn the 2013 English Language Socan Songwriting Prize for her tune “Sucker”. Yes, that's a big deal!
The Nova Scotia native says most of the prize money will go to producing her next album… a release many people can’t wait to hear (including me). Mo says the first single could come as early as this Fall!
Until her next release is available, you can enjoy Mo’s self-title debut which is on shelves and iTunes right now.
By the way, her first (and upcoming) album was produced by Joel Plaskett. More proof this girl is going places!
