SAINT JOHN, N.B. -- New Brunswick's Office of the Attorney General says the lead prosecutor in the murder case against Dennis Oland has been replaced just weeks before the trial is to begin.
In an emailed statement the office says John Henheffer has stepped aside for personal health reasons and has been replaced on the prosecution team by P.J. Veniot.
The statement says the trial will proceed as scheduled with jury selection set to begin on Sept. 8.
The trial is scheduled to begin Sept. 16.
Dennis Oland is charged with second-degree murder in the death of his father Richard Oland, whose body was found in his Saint John office in July 2011.
