An 18-year-old man has been airlifted to a Halifax hospital following a serious single-vehicle collision in Yarmouth County, N.S.
The RCMP responded to the scene near 474 Melbourne Road in Melbourne, N.S. around 6 a.m. Thursday.
Officers found a man lying on the road while his vehicle was off the road, in a nearby marsh.
The man sustained serious head injuries and was airlifted to a Halifax hospital.
The road was closed for several hours Thursday. It has since reopened.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
