An 18-year-old man was taken to hospital with stab wounds to his head and shoulder area after an incident in Dartmouth Wednesday night.

Halifax Regional Police say they were called to the 100 block of Bras Dor Lane around 11:50 p.m. Upon arrival, officers found the victim with knife wounds in the parking lot.

The man’s injuries are believed to be non-life-threatening.

Police say they spoke with several people in the area – including the victim – but did not receive any co-operation.

Officers believe the assault took place in the parking lot where a knife and the suspect were located.  

Police believe the suspect and victim are known to each other.
