FREDERICTON - A New Brunswick artist has been invited to meet the Queen today.
Karen Burk is a ceramics instructor and artist at the New Brunswick College of Craft and Design.
Several of her large ceramic platters were recently bought by the federal government for embassies and consulates around the world.
One of them is now at Canada House in London, England.
Burk was invited to the opening of the Canadian High Commission, where she will meet Queen Elizabeth II.
Burk has been a ceramics teacher and artist for more than 38 years and her work is on display in North America, Great Britain, France and China.
