FREDERICTON - An election campaign promise by the Liberals comes into effect today in New Brunswick.
The minimum wage is rising to 10-dollars and 30-cents per hour.
That's a 30-cent increase.
Premier Brian Gallant has said there are nearly 28-thousand New Brunswickers who earn the minimum wage.
He has promised to boost the minimum wage to 11-dollars an hour by 2017, and thereafter by the rate of inflation.
