Police are looking for an offender who walked away from a halfway house in Saint John.

Brady Richard Polchies, 24, is serving a federal sentence of four years and four months for robbery, failing to comply with a probation order and being unlawfully at large.

A warrant of apprehension was issued for his arrest after he failed to return to the Parrtown Community Correction Centre on Carleton Street.

Police believe Polchies may be in the Kingsclear First Nation area, where his family lives.

However, they say he also has associates in the Oromocto, Fredericton and Woodstock areas.

Police say he has been unlawfully at large before, and was apprehended in Saint John.

Polchies is six-foot-one inches and weighs about 200 pounds. He has black hair, brown eyes, and several tattoos on his arms, hands and face.

He was last seen wearing jeans and light brown Timberland work-style boots. Police say he typically wears ball caps and may be wearing a white and blue patterned jacket with a hood.

Anyone with information on his whereabouts is asked to contact police.
