A 55-year-old woman is facing impaired driving charges after a man was allegedly struck by a vehicle in West Dublin, N.S.

Lunenburg District RCMP responded to a report of a disturbance at a home on Highway 331 around 10:15 p.m. Sunday.

When police arrived, they found a 56-year-old man suffering from serious injuries. He was taken to the Queen Elizabeth II Health Sciences Centre in Halifax.

Police say the man had been struck by a vehicle and a woman was arrested at the scene.

Tina Marie Ritcey appeared in Bridgewater provincial court Tuesday morning to face charges of impaired driving causing bodily harm and two counts of breach of probation.

Ritcey was remanded into custody and is due back in court on Friday.

The incident remains under investigation.
