Crystal Garrett
Crystal Garrett is a reporter/anchor for CTV Atlantic in Halifax.
Born and raised on a strawberry farm in southwestern Ontario, Crystal has called the Maritimes home since 2004.
Crystal has a Master’s in Journalism from Western University. She obtained her undergraduate degree in Communication Studies at the University of Windsor, where she also competed as a varsity athlete. Crystal is an accomplished middle-distance runner and competed for one of Canada’s national teams in 1999.
In 2006, Crystal first joined the CTV Atlantic team as a reporter. She has also worked as an anchor, reporter and co-host in Ontario and Montreal, with many of her reports airing on CNN.
Crystal jokes that she is the human Swiss Army knife of broadcasting; she loves to perform different roles in the newsroom.
Outside of work, Crystal is a Pilates instructor, running coach, book editor and podcaster. She is married with three children. Crystal speaks English and French.
