Dan MacIntosh is no longer with CTV Atlantic.

Dan MacIntosh is an award-winning videojournalist with CTV Atlantic in New Glasgow, covering northern Nova Scotia for more than three decades.

Dan grew up in Stellarton, N.S. and is a proud graduate of Saint Francis Xavier University, where he worked on the campus newspaper, radio station, and on stage at Bauer Theatre.

In 1990, Dan received the Charlie Edwards RTNDA award for his coverage of a dramatic hostage rescue in Nova Scotia’s Pictou County. That same year, the Atlantic Journalism Awards (AJA) named him Atlantic Canada’s Journalist of the Year. In 2008, he received the AJA Gold Award for his work as a videojournalist. Dan is also a member of the Canadian Association of Broadcasters Quarter Century Club.

Over 30-plus years, Dan has driven close to 2 million kilometres for news; covering stories like the Westray Mine Disaster, Royal Visits, and interviewing almost every Prime Minister from Pierre Trudeau to Justin Trudeau.

Dan has three children and enjoys travel and trivia.
