SHEET HARBOUR, N.S. -- A 76-year-old man is dead following a fishing accident east of Halifax.
RCMP say the man fell off the Sober Island Bridge in Sheet Harbour around 5:30 p.m.
Police say it appears the man was fishing when his line got snagged on the bottom and he fell into the water as he tried to retrieve the line.
The man's name was not released but police confirmed he was from Sheet Harbour.
