Friends and family of Shayna Conway, the only survivor of a murder-suicide that cost the life of three of her friends, have received good news.

Conway was shot three times. Her friends, Mitch MacLean, Tanner Craswell and Tabitha Stepple were all killed in the Alberta highway shooting.

According to a family friend, Conway is now speaking and breathing on her own. On Boxing Day, she was also walking, despite a severely injured leg.

No word on when Conway will be returning home to P.E.I.

A trust fund has been set up for Conway and can be contacted by email at shaynaconwaytrust@live.ca
