Halifax Regional Police are renewing calls for clues in the 2013 shooting death of a man in Dartmouth.

Police responded to a report of a shooting in the area of Primrose Street and Pinecrest Drive at 5:20 p.m. on Jan. 7, 2013.

Investigators allege an altercation took place in a backyard and that 24-year-old Raymond Floyd Peters was shot several times.

Peters ran to a home on Jackson Road, where he took refuge in an apartment.

He was taken to hospital, where he passed away on Jan. 8.

Police say the suspect fled the scene on foot. He is described as a black man in his 20s. He is five-foot-eight inches tall with a medium build. He was wearing a blue hoodie and black pants at the time of the incident.

Investigators believe there are people who have information about the incident who have yet to come forward, and they are asking those people to contact them.
