Police in Halifax are renewing calls for clues in the death of Judy Geraldine Parks, who was murdered 37 years ago.

Parks has been living on Keating Road in Halifax at the time of her disappearance.

The 14-year-old girl was last seen the evening of July 10, 1976. She was reported missing by her family the following day.

Police say her body was found in wooded area off Highway 103 near Timberlea, N.S. on Oct. 9, 1976.

Her death was ruled a homicide but the case has never been solved.

Parks’ murder has been added to Nova Scotia’s Rewards for Major Unsolved Crimes Program, which offers a reward of up to $150,000 for information that leads to an arrest and conviction in the case.

Anyone with information about Parks’ death is asked to contact police.
