HALIFAX – Halifax Regional Police say the death of a man, whose body was found in a Dartmouth home Friday morning, was a homicide.

Police arrived on scene at 2:30 a.m. on Friday, they found the body of an adult male inside the Portland Hills' home.

After an autopsy on Sunday morning, police have released that the death was a murder. Information about how he died hasn't been released.

Two vehicles were seized from the property and two men were taken into custody. The men were released Friday night without charges.

Police are not saying whether there are suspects in the case.

"We do have forensic officers who will continue to be on the scene today. They're processing inside the house. Yesterday we had a number of scenes outside the home, and we had ground search and rescue assist us. Our focus today is continuing to process inside the home," said Theresa Rath, Halifax Regional Police.

This marks the third murder in HRM this year.
