Music legend Rod Stewart is heading to Cavendish, P.E.I. this summer.
Whitecap Entertainment announced Thursday that the British singer-songwriter will play at the Cavendish Beach Event Centre on July 9.
“We’ve always wanted to feature more entertainment in our Cavendish venue and when the opportunity arose to have the legendary Rod Stewart, we felt that the time was right,” said Jeff Squires, president of Whitecap Entertainment, in a statement.
“We look forward to welcoming and hosting new and return guests to this wonderful concert venue, which can be enjoyed by concertgoers and music lovers of all ages.”
Stewart, a Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee and Grammy Award winner, is known for hits such as “Maggie May,” “Forever Young” and “Tonight’s the Night.”
General admission tickets cost $99. Tickets go on sale Saturday, Feb. 28 at 10 a.m. They are available online or at the PEI Brewing Company.
