FREDERICTON - New Brunswick is joining other provinces in offering help for Syrian refugees.
Premier Brian Gallant says the province is donating $50,000 to a United Nations fund.
Millions of people have fled war-ravaged Syria since 2011.
There has been global shock over the drowning deaths of two young Syrian boys and their mother, who apparently wanted to come to Canada.
Gallant says New Brunswick is willing to help the federal government in any way, and he wants to make it clear that the province's doors are open to accept refugees.
Nova Scotia, Ontario and Manitoba have also announced assistance.
