RCMP in New Brunswick are renewing calls for clues in the disappearance of a 58-year-old Chipman man.

Police say a vehicle belonging to James Austen MacKey was found abandoned and stuck in the mud on Harley Road in Red Bank on Nov. 29, 2012.

MacKey hasn’t been seen or heard from since.

At the time, RCMP conducted an extensive search of the area. An RCMP helicopter, police dogs, and York-Sunbury Ground Search and Rescue assisted in the search, but they found no clues as to MacKey’s whereabouts.

"We're asking for the public's help once again as there may be hunters travelling in the woods near where Mr. MacKey's vehicle was found on November 29, 2012," says Const. Derek Black. "We're asking anyone who may be in the area near the Harley Road in Red Bank to call police if they come across anything unusual."

MacKey is described as a white male with brown hair and green eyes. He is roughly five-foot-eight and 180 pounds.

Anyone with information on MacKey’s whereabouts, or who many have seen or spoken to him before he disappeared, is asked to contact police or Crime Stoppers.
